La Wampler Euphoria est une pédale d'overdrive naturelle et transparente qui délivre des sons d'inspiration Dumble grâce à une signature sonore faisant la part belle aux drives denses et chaleureux.
Extérieurement, on a droit à un chassis standard avec une jolie finition vert métallisé. Les connections sont sur le dessus, pratique. La pédale propose les contrôles habituels: Volume, Gain et Tone. Elle bénéficie également d'un contrôle Bass (pré-gain) et d'un switch à 3 positons. A l'intérieur, PCB et switch sont de bon aloi.
Sur un canal clean, avec tout à 12:00 et le contrôle Bass au minimum en mode smooth, on obtient un drive léger, avec une attaque douce, claire, très articulée. En augmentant le Volume et le Bass, on gagne en épaisseur et en gain, la pédale se faisant plus liée et fluide. Sur le mode Open, on va gagner en brillance et sur le mode Crunch, en gain. Le gros point fort de l'Euphoria c'est son interaction entre chaque potard (principalement le Volume, Tone et Bass). Un peu comme un ampli de conception "cascading" (typiquement Dumble). Le mode Smooth est le plus proche du rendu d'un Dumble. Avec une Les Paul et en montant le Gain à 15:00 et le Bass à 12:00, on obtient un son ultra épais, dense, avec une attaque punchy qui laisse transparaitre votre base claire à l'attaque. Si vous êtes fans des sons organiques, chauds et ronds, l'Euphoria est on ne peut appropriée!
