It was in 1996, in the garage of a house in San Fernando, that Xotic established itself. In 1998, the young Californian brand (of Japanese origin) began manufacturing small series of high-quality pre-amps for guitars and basses, which made it possible to shake things up. In the 2000s, the brand joined PCI (Prosound Communications Inc) and released an impeccable trio: AC Booster, RC Booster and BB Preamp. The success was immediate and that’s when the brand really became known. This also allows it to promote its range of guitars and basses which are now distributed in the US and Japan.
In 2009, success was confirmed, the premises in San Fernando became far too limited for the brand's activity. PCI moved to Van Nuys and became a manufacturer recognized by Los Angeles-based musicians and many artists such as: Michale Landau, Michael Thompson, Tim Pierce, Lee Ritenour, Scott Henderson…
Nowadays, Xotic offers guitars with flawless violin making that benefit from a sound signature all their own. The brand also offers a whole range of effects, ranging from boost to Wah pedal, including superb overdrives that will satisfy the most demanding musicians.
