True, but what you probably don't know is that the Tom Anderson Drop Top is the first of its kind to hit the market. The mother of all super strats. So much so that a few decades later, we continue to call "drop top" a stratabound guitar surmounted by a maple top with the characteristic "arm cut". This, whatever the brand. The name of the model having entered the common guitar language.
