After having made hundreds of instruments entirely by hand, it was time for the brand to raise the bar even higher and use their expertise to create a new model, which would be a challenge and push the skills of the brand. at most. Placing itself in competition with instruments such as the ES335 / 339 and other American i35s, the B&G Goldfinger differs from them by its extraordinary characteristics for a guitar of this type. Indeed, where all the brands use tale-collé, B&G offers an instrument sculpted in the mass, with a table and a solid back . A real arch top with more rock dimensions.
The Goldfinger Private Build has a semi-hollow type construction. It is equipped with a set neck with a 24.75 pitch, with a junction at the 16th fret. Custom Shop obliges, the selection of woods is omnipresent, we find the use of Honduran mahogany for the neck, a sorted African mahogany for the sides and a 5A maple top / back for this model. The construction is superb and free from defects. It's a craftsman guitar, from A to Z. Everything is done "in house". We are really on the very high end and it feels from the opening of the case until the first notes played. It's very balanced, sweet and complex, with bite. The slightest subtlety of your playing comes out perfectly, all with a very woody rendering and a real sound signature. Ultra light, dynamic and precise, the guitar shines with its great versatility in clean registers, jazz, blues and rock. The P90s version provides a little more slap, treble complexity and articulation than the humbuckers.
