Designed with George Lowden's original Dolphin bracing, these guitars deliver the unmistakable Lowden sound: full, warm, and highly dynamic. The F shape could be likened to the equivalent of an OM. More compact than the O, it delivers tones with a high end and articulation emphasized. The bass is solid and tight, the mids particularly fluid and present, the treble is precise, thick without being aggressive. It also benefits from an impressive projection and an ultra-fast response. Its dense and focused projection combined with a perfectly balanced dynamic, make it a guitar that excels at miking. It will be as comfortable in finger-picking as in flat-picking, and will shine by its versatility.
Long considered THE Lowden recipe, the 25 series benefits from a construction made around a red cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides. The soundhole is a mixture of rosewood, maple, walnut and mahogany in all sobriety. The neck follows the traditional design of Lowden guitars with a 5-piece construction of mahogany and rosewood, combined with an ebony fingerboard. This combination delivers a very full, deep sound, with sweetness in the high end and perfect balance.
