Alexi "Wildchild" Laiho is the leader and guitarist of the band Bodom After Midnight. Died in 2020, the Finnish shredder leaves a rich legacy of wild solos and chiseled metal riffs with unique brutality. Alexi joined ESP in 2002, when he was a promising young musician. In 2006, ESP formalized its partnership with the artist by unveiling its first signature model.
Based on the SV, its signature model will speak to all fans of Randy Rhoads and aggressive and... "sharp" guitars! Metal oriented guitar, this singular model with unique curves impresses. Reduced weight, sharpened contours, slightly reworked body for easier access to high notes and overall comfort, the Custom Shop Alexi is equipped with an ultra-fast and comfortable neck, it is a reference for shredders of all stripes.
Entirely handcrafted at the Custom Shop Japan, it represents the pinnacle of what the brand can produce due to the exceptional attention to detail it benefits from.
This "Hexed" model benefits from a relentless selection of species and the unrivaled know-how of the brand's Custom Shop. Currently you have to wait a year for an equivalent model. The Alexi Hexed is built around an ultra-light alder body and a maple neck with an ebony fingerboard. It benefits from a Purple Fade w/ Pinstripe finish and a unique EMG pickup.
