Alexi "Wildchild" Laiho is the leader and guitarist of the band Bodom After Midnight. Passed away in 2020, the Finnish shredder leaves a legacy rich in wild solos and chiseled metal riffs with unique brutality. Alexi joined ESP in 2002, at the time he was a promising young musician. In 2006, ESP formalized its partnership with the artist by unveiling its first signature model.
Based on the SV, his signature model will speak to all fans of Randy Rhoads and aggressive and... "sharp" guitars! A metal-oriented guitar, this unique model with unique curves is impressive. Reduced weight, sharp contours, slightly reworked body to facilitate access to the treble and overall comfort, the Custom Shop Alexi has an ultra-fast and comfortable neck, it is a reference for shredders of all kinds.
Entirely handcrafted at the Custom Shop Japan, it represents the pinnacle of what the brand can produce thanks to the exceptional attention to detail it benefits from.
This "Hexed" model benefits from an implacable selection of woods and the unrivaled know-how of the brand's Custom Shop. Currently, you have to wait a year for an equivalent model. The Alexi Hexed is built around an ultra-light alder body and a maple neck with an ebony fingerboard. It benefits from a Purple Fade w/ Pinstripe finish and a single EMG pickup.
