Leviathan Preamp

With the Leviathan preamp, RedSeven opens the gates of hell on earth and lets you take them to your pedalboard! Here, we don't do things by halves, because we are dealing with the king of High-Gain. The RedSeven Leviathan is the new reference point, the new standard for those looking for true guitar cruelty and the sound that destroys everything :-) Designed for those who need to go beyond the classic distortions found in most current amps (too straight, too dry or compressed), the Leviathan is 100% Metal and totally brutal. But, as there is always a little sweetness in this world, it also allows, as we will see, an impressive versatility!

As for the build, it's up to the standard of the best in the genre. 2x 12AX7 integrated, very high-quality PCBs, selected components. It's beautiful, well-assembled, the knobs are firm, their travel very progressive... in short, you'll have understood, the Leviathan is a bulldozer both inside and for your ears.
The front panel is quite spacious for a preamp of this type: 3-band EQ, Gain, Volume, Gain Boost and Volume Boost per channel. The preamp also has a dynamically responsive Gate with a Threshold control and 4 storable presets. On the rear panel: Stereo outputs, a stereo effects loop, MIDI connectivity, and a USB C port.
Note that you can save 3 presets per channel, 16 stereo IRs, and benefit from 8 integrated power amp simulations. Finally, a headphone jack is available for playing at home, in silence.

Plugged into an audio interface or into a console with active speakers, we attack with the clean channel. To everyone's surprise, it's twangy! Yeah, who would have thought it? It saturates quite quickly depending on the output level of your microphones, it's clear, articulate without being stiff. On the contrary, we have a mellow and even very percussive attack, both with single coils and with big EMGs that send. By slightly pushing the gain, it twists and is super dynamic. The Leviathan clearly has its own sonic signature.
With this channel 1 you cover just about everything from Blues to ACDC to Guns.

We move on to channel 2, with a nearly flat EQ. Powwwa! Fans of Soldano, Rectifier and other massive amps, here is the boss of the genre! Astronomical gain, ultra-thick grain, harmonics that burst forth, and an impressive separation of notes. Even with a horse gain, the Leviathan remains perfectly audible, compressed just the right amount without - tunneling - the whole thing. All this, with an attack that would wake up marmots in winter! It's enormous. Les Paul and Tom Anderson SSH plugged into it, it's a perfectly controlled bulldozer that can be integrated into a complex MIDI configuration to be triggered remotely.

As you can see, the RedSeven Leviathan preamp is a huge slap in the face to other products of this type. The cherry on top of the cake is that it doesn't buzz, it's optimized and designed to last. Hats off!
