The James Hetfield Signature Snakebyte is an Explorer-shaped guitar, a symbol of Metallica's legendary rhythm guitarist. A variation of the EXP and MX-220, this model impresses with its massive size and its "bulldozer" sonic signature once plugged in.
Handcrafted entirely at the Custom Shop Japan, it represents the pinnacle of what the brand can produce due to the exceptional attention to detail it receives.
This model, produced in very small quantities each year, benefits from an uncompromising wood selection and the brand's unparalleled Custom Shop expertise. It is built around a very light 2-piece mahogany body and a deep-joint set neck, also made of mahogany, featuring an ebony fretboard. It boasts a gloss finish and EMG JH pickups.
