Developing products that sound is above all having a "musical ear". Yes, it may seem surprising to talk about musicality when talking about musical instruments, but it's a fact. The ear and what our English-speaking friends call "sound design" are essential to obtain something of quality. Well that's what Jesse Davey has. An excellent ear for tweaking existing material and making it into something you, dear fellow guitarists, must have! This is the case with this miniFUZZ V2 which automatically imposes itself as one of the most beautiful Fuzz on the market.
Level finish, it's pretty. We match the great high-end "boutique" standards of the genre. Quality case, firm knobs with the face of hell, very thick PCB with a very well done assembly. What are the guitar people asking for? Nothing more everything is there! It's top quality and will last for years without flinching.
So what do we see on this pedal? Of course, the huge central button that controls the Volume. Style! The button controlling the gain is called Fuzz, it is offset at the bottom to save as much space as possible. Note the Bias button which allows you to massively tune the response of the effect, going from a dirty and percussive drive to a massive and fluid drive. The EQ section is not to be outdone, we are entitled to a 3-position switch: Fat, Zonk, Vintage. New in this version 2, a switch to switch from Germanium to Silicon mode, the V2 combining the circuits of the old Si and Ge models. Also, a series of dip switches which will allow you to adjust the settings of buffer, boost, EQ etc...
Connected to a Two-Rock Studio Classic Reverb , just to do things right, with a stratocaster in hand, ppwwwwaa is hell, from the first notes! If you like ultra fat, dense and reactive Fuzz, you'll be served! Imagine a Fuzz Face with versatility and tuning interaction never before seen? What impresses is the "massive" side of the drive produced, but also its clarity and its preserved dynamics, even with a high level of gain. The Bias setting is extremely effective, it allows you to adjust the "voicing" of the effect as well as possible by offering a setting that will impact not only the response of the pedal, but also the compression and the grain of the effect, by making the drive more or less "raw", fluid and dense. The idea is very simple, to allow the internal bias of the pedal to be adjusted, without having to open it, and thus to allow a very great interaction with the 2 MP10b transistors which are there. These work perfectly the BC183 of the Silicon mode.

The mini switch that serves as an EQ makes it possible to adapt the pedal to the vast majority of amps and guitars, whether you are on a rather dark set-up or higher up. On the Full position, we will have a massive drive, quite low mid, with linked notes and an impressive sustain. The Vintage mode will allow, meanwhile, a more degraded, more unstructured drive, typical of old fuzz that have the bottle. Finally, the Zonk mode, will simulate a classic fuzz face, which we can "tweak" widely and with which we can interact greatly by using the volume and tone knobs of the guitar. This will then be voiced higher-medium, with a presence highlighted.
