The OKKO T3 Tremolo is the first modulation effect designed by the German brand. This is not a simple tremolo but an effect built around 3 optical tremolos based on optocouplers, capable of delivering everything from purely vintage sounds to unique poly-rhythmic waves.

In terms of controls, a switch allows toggling between Harmonic and Regular mode. There are also Depth, Speed and Volume controls handling effect depth, rate and output level. A symmetry control is linked to the waveform selector, which offers 3 different wave shapes. The "3rd tremolo" is accessed via the Rate and Mix knobs, which allow it to be injected into the main tremolo in use. Rounding things out, the pedal features tap tempo, a toggle switch to divide or multiply the tempo (x1, x2 or x3) and a remote jack for switching the effect from a distance.
The T3 runs on a fully analog signal with the effect placed in parallel. Op-amps running at 18V handle signal routing and maximize headroom. Note that the pedal runs on a standard 9VDC power supply. Plugged into a clean or crunch channel of a Divided by 13, Harmonic mode delivers a classic Brownface-style tremolo with all the subtle complexity of those vintage amp circuits. This mode splits the signal into two frequency bands and applies independent modulation to each, resulting in a rich, wide and layered effect. Regular mode offers a more classic, more dramatic tremolo. It has a beautiful waveform, smooth and expansive, with an outstanding sense of space and depth. The waveform switch unlocks a wide range of tonal variations and the symmetry knob is remarkably effective, allowing interaction with the effect in a genuinely unique way. Injecting the T3 tremolo opens up more psychedelic territory, with increased speed and a more extreme effect character.
