This is the case with this The Octaland, a perfect improved recreation of the great classics of the genre!
In terms of finish, this 2025 version is particularly successful. It meets the high-end "boutique" standards of the genre. Quality casing, firm knobs, thick PCB with very well-made assembly, and premium footswitches. It's top-quality and will last for years without flinching.
It's rich in controls: a Volume, a Drive and a Blend that allows you to inject more or less octave in parallel with the drive. The Voice knob acts as a tone and also allows you to modify the clarity of the effect. Also, a 3-position toggle switch: Vintage (standard and neutral), Glass (high end and presence emphasized) and Fuzz (low end boosted and more thickness). Use this switch in parallel with the Voice button and you have maximum versatility to tune your sound as you see fit. This new version brings an additional toggle switch that allows access to 3 different modes of use: Synth (sound texture inspired by modern envelopes), Bright (more present frequencies that pierce the mix), Focus (more compact and precise effect).
With The Octaland, we are on pure vintage Octavia Fuzz! Unlike most Fuzzes that need a slight crunch / break up to wake up, this Octaland Mini works as well in this configuration as on a 100% clean channel. We will appreciate the thing, this allows us to use it in a multitude of configurations. Fan of the sound of Hendrix and SRV? This pedal is made for you! Stacked on a Marshall like amp, with a drive at 10:00 and a switch on Glass, we obtain a superb Octavia, perfectly defined and 100% responsive. By pushing the gain and switching to Fuzz, we go to a devastating fuzzy drive that Bonamassa would not deny with, and this is where the Octaland makes all the difference, the Octavia effect always very present, even with a gain pushed to its limits. You don't lose it in the "mix" whatever the setting, it remains perfectly defined. It sings, it's fluid, very connected, thick and very much old school! Stratocaster recommended to be able to take full advantage of all the nuances and interactions possible with the guitar's knobs and pickups. The 3 new voicings bring enormous versatility and allow you to play on the grain, the EQ and the dynamics.
The King Tone Guitar The Octaland is a pedal that really stands out. If you're looking for an Octavia with massive drive and lots of nuance, this is the one for you! You might say, "Yes, but there are 150 fuzzes on the market that are cheaper than this one." Of course...
