Ah... the Drop Top... You're probably thinking "hey, a super-strat with a maple top, we've seen it before". Of course, but what you probably don't know is that the Tom Anderson Drop Top is the first of its kind to hit the market. The mother of all super-strats. So much so that a few decades later, we still call a "drop top" a stratoid guitar topped with a maple top with the characteristic "arm cut". This is true regardless of the brand. The name of the model has entered the common guitar language.
A 3/16 table generally affixed to a body made of basswood, mahogany, ash or alder. An ultra-fast neck with a compensated radius and stainless steel frets. Your choice of microphones / electronics and foolproof hardware. Here is the recipe for the drop top, as beautiful as it is comfortable and versatile. Tom Anderson obliges, everything is customizable and almost limitless.
