The "Private Builds" represent the brand's Custom Shop. The instruments that come out of the Custom Shop benefit from the greatest attention and the best essences available. Production of Private Build models is limited to 30 guitars per month to ensure that each guitar represents the pinnacle of the brand's craftsmanship. The idea behind the Little Sister was to design an instrument that could be a "voice" in its own right within the band. The inspiration therefore came from the old Parlors used by Blues players in the 1920s and 30s. Instruments with balanced tones, punchy with a very dense sound, able to best accompany the singer's voice by creating both depth and atmosphere.
The Little Sister Private Build has a semi-hollow type construction. It is equipped with a set neck with a pitch of 24.75, with a junction at the 14th fret. Custom Shop obliges, the selection of woods is omnipresent, we find the use of Honduran mahogany for the neck, a sorted African mahogany for the body and a maple top affixed to the latter. The construction is superb and free from defects. It's a craftsman guitar, from A to Z. Everything is done "in house". We are really on the very high end and you can feel it from the opening of the case until the first notes played. It's very balanced, sweet and complex, with bite. The slightest subtlety of your playing comes out perfectly, all with a very woody rendering and a real sound signature. Light, dynamic and precise, the guitar shines with its great versatility in clean registers, jazz, blues and rock and more edgy styles. The P90s version provides a little more slap and articulation than the humbuckers.
The B&G Guitars Little Sister is the ideal companion for playing on your sofa, for accompanying a very beautiful voice in duet, for piercing through the mix within your rock band. Expressing itself as well with the fingertips as with the pick, it is one of the guitars that we dare not describe with words and that we prefer to let express themselves in the hands of a musician.
